The closest airport to Delphi Resort is Ireland West Airport Knock, approximately a 1.5-hour drive away. Shannon Airport is around 2.5 hours from the resort, while Dublin Airport is about a 3.5-hour drive. All these airports offer car hire services, making it easy to reach us by car.
To get to Delphi Resort using public transport, you can take Irish Rail to either Westport or Galway, followed by a Bus Éireann service. From there, you can easily arrange a local taxi for the final leg of your journey to the resort.
For your convenience, there are several great car hire options nearby. If you’re flying into Ireland West Airport Knock, you can choose from Budget Car Hire or Avis Car Hire right at the airport. Alternatively, if you’re arriving in Galway City, Europcar Car Hire offers a range of vehicles to suit your needs. We recommend booking in advance to secure the best rates and availability.
From Galway
- Take the Clifden road/N59 out of Galway City and go through – Moycullen – Rosscahill – Oughterard. At Maam Cross take a right turn at crossroads after Peacocks Hotel.
- At Maam take left turn (opposite Keane’s Pub) towards Leenane.
- At Leenane, follow signs for Westport (cross over Bridge)
- Take left turn (signposted for Delphi Resort, Louisburgh & Aasleagh falls).
- Pass Aashleagh Falls on RHS – travel another 8km and Delphi Resort is on Left hand side
From Castlebar/Westport
- From Castlebar take N60 into Westport.
- Take N59 from Westport and follow signs for Leenane.
- Quickest route to get to Leenane Road is take left at first Traffic Lights in Westport (opposite the CastleCourt Hotel).
- Take next Right at small roundabout.
- Take the next Left up steep hill (This left turn is opposite the Bank of Ireland).
- Take next Right and then the next Left (at Stop Sign, signposted for Leenane and Delphi Resort)
- Travel along the N59 towards Leenane for appox. 26km, then turn Right at Signposts for the Wild Atlantic Way (N), Delphi Resort, Louisburgh, Aasleagh Falls.
- Pass Aasleagh Falls on RHS – travel another 8km and Delphi Resort is on Left hand side
Yes, we welcome day guests to the Activity Centre, Spa and Restaurant. Advanced booking is required.
No, unfortunately, we do not accept pets in the Resort.
There is no swimming pool or leisure centre at Delphi Resort. The nearest swimming pool is in Westport, 35 min drive from the resort. Westport Leisure Park is opened 7 days per week. Please click here to view the opening hours. We are also located 20 mins drive from several blue flag beaches.
Given our remote, mountainous location there is no mobile phone coverage at the Resort. We do have land lines in all the rooms so you can make out-going calls (at standard hotel phone charges) and we can transfer any incoming calls to you.
We provide complimentary WiFi access throughout the Resort. However, due to our mountainous location, the internet can be very slow/intermittent.
